Eleven Dubai-based companies, including Emirates and DP World, have pledged to integrate agentic artificial intelligence into their operations under an initiative led by Dubai Chambers. The commitment brings together businesses across several sectors as Dubai moves forward with a broader program to encourage private-sector adoption of the technology.

Dubai Chambers announced the pledge, which was signed in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The 11 signatories are Emirates, DP World, AW Rostamani Group, Al Ansari Exchange, Dubai Islamic Bank, Kitopi, Dutco Group, Aster DM Healthcare, Innovo, Independent Food Company and HSA Group.

Dubai Chambers President and CEO Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah said: “Agentic AI represents a new phase in the evolution of business models, offering significant opportunities for companies to transform their operations, improve service quality and make faster, more informed decisions. These capabilities can drive greater operational efficiency, productivity and innovation. Agentic AI also provides businesses with a strategic tool to support growth, adapt to rapid changes in the global business environment, turn challenges into opportunities for expansion and create sustainable value.”

A Two-Year Program Behind the Pledge

The corporate commitments follow a private-sector transformation initiative launched on May 4 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s crown prince and chairman of its Executive Council. The announcement described a two-year program combining business training with support for companies developing agentic AI.

Dubai’s announcement described agentic AI as artificial intelligence capable of executing tasks and directing workflows autonomously. The program seeks to bring those capabilities into commercial operations, with productivity improvements and lower costs among its stated objectives.

The May framework also called for specialized incubators, opportunities for young people working in the field and dedicated funds to support the transition. Training was to reach business councils affiliated with Dubai Chamber of Commerce, providing a route to engage companies through existing business networks.

Committee Oversees Training and Funding Plans

Dubai Chambers set out a management structure for the initiative in June, when it announced the formation of an Executive Committee for Agentic AI. Its first meeting was chaired by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, chairman of Dubai Chambers and the committee.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, the UAE’s minister of state for artificial intelligence, digital economy and remote work applications, participated as the committee’s vice chairman. The committee’s remit covers several components of the transformation program, placing training, business development and financial support within a common administrative framework.

Its responsibilities include approving specialized training plans for Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s Business Groups and Business Councils. It is also tasked with designing and establishing incubators and supporting businesses that develop or use agentic AI solutions. These responsibilities extend beyond the 11 companies named in the latest announcement.

Funding is another part of the committee’s mandate. Dubai Chambers said it would establish dedicated support funds to assist selected companies with their transition.

Training Targets a Wider Business Audience

A separate step came on September 1, when Dubai Chambers launched specialized training tracks intended to equip more than 14,000 member companies represented through its Business Groups and Business Councils.

The courses are delivered through Dubai Chambers Academy, an e-learning platform launched in the presence of chamber officials and 90 chairpersons of Business Groups and Business Councils. The platform offers agentic AI instruction alongside other training programs, giving the initiative a delivery channel beyond corporate pledge-signing events.

Participants will examine available tools, potential business applications and practical approaches to adoption. The curriculum addresses operations, productivity and decision-making.
