The platform initially supports Open USD (OUSD) and combines wallet infrastructure, governance controls, bank connectivity and payment capabilities to simplify institutional adoption of blockchain-based money. Rather than introducing a consumer-facing stablecoin, Visa is positioning VSP as operational infrastructure that integrates stablecoin workflows with treasury, settlement and compliance systems, reflecting the company's broader strategy to bridge traditional financial institutions with digital asset networks.
