The UAE received $104.8 billion in crypto value in the year to June 2026, up 32% even as the wider Middle East and North Africa market shrank by 1.4%, according to Chainalysis. Crypto services such as exchanges drove most of the growth, while peer-to-peer transfers and cross-border business payments grew faster from a much smaller base. The UAE remained second to Türkiye, but Chainalysis said it could become the region’s largest crypto market as early as its 2027 reporting period.
