Google has open-sourced TorchTPU, software that lets developers run PyTorch AI workloads on its Tensor Processing Units with minimal code changes, strengthening its challenge to NVIDIA’s dominant hardware and software ecosystem. Developed with Meta’s PyTorch team and supported by partners including Hugging Face, TorchTPU makes Google’s chips easier to use for AI training and deployment.
