Qashio has announced Global Pay, an international business payments service that lets eligible companies earn loyalty points when settling overseas supplier invoices, extending its rewards model beyond corporate card spending.

The announcement describes the product as a collaboration with Visa. Qashio’s own Global Pay page confirms the international transfers and rewards offering, alongside upfront foreign exchange information and payment tracking. The company says the service charges no fixed transfer fees.

The launch puts a familiar business expense at the center of Qashio’s expansion: paying suppliers abroad. Its proposition combines the transfer itself with the approvals, invoice records and rewards that finance teams would otherwise need to manage across separate processes.

According to the announcement customers can move money from their company account into a Global Pay balance, register beneficiaries and upload invoices. Payments then pass through the business’s approval procedures before finance teams track them through completion.

Armin Moradi, CEO of Qashio, said: “International payments are part of any business today yet historically those payments earn the business nothing. Qashio has rewarded companies for their corporate card spending for years, and now they get rewarded when making cross-border payments as well. If the money has to be sent anyway, why shouldn’t the business get something back on that as well. That was the starting point for Global Pay. We then tackled everything else businesses dislike about moving money internationally: High FX cost, slow settlement, disconnected approvals and poor visibility. So businesses can now earn on a payment they already have to make, while getting competitive rates, faster transfers and proper control from invoice through to settlement.”

The operational component sits alongside Qashio’s existing spend management tools. Its approval workflow documentation describes rules based on roles, departments and transaction amounts, allowing businesses to assign different levels of review to different financial decisions.

A company can, for example, require additional review of a large invoice by senior management or its finance team. Qashio says its wider approval system records approvals, rejections and modifications, creating a history of the decisions behind a payment.

Combining those controls with overseas transfers could give finance teams a more continuous record of an invoice’s progress.

Qashio says eligible international payments earn Qashio Points, redeemable through its rewards network. Emirates Skywards, Accor and IHG appear among the brands identified in the launch material and on the company’s product page.

Qashio’s broader rewards offering already includes corporate cashback, airline benefits and offers from business service providers. Global Pay brings international invoice payments into that existing loyalty proposition.

Tim Fox, Senior Advisor at EMIR and former Chief Economist at Emirates NBD, said: “There is a huge growth in payments in and out of the country, so it is natural that the UAE has become a centre of innovation by fintechs to make the flow of money faster and more transparent in terms of pricing.”

Rajesh Garg, Former Group CFO and Chief Sustainability Officer for 10 years at Landmark Group, said: “The UAE has become a safe haven for capital because companies and individuals are looking for stability, certainty and growth. The country's distinction is that it is building world class industries while offering that security.”

Qashio says eligible new and existing customers can access Global Pay.
