Saudi artificial intelligence company HUMAIN has engaged EY MENA to develop what the companies describe as Saudi Arabia’s first AI-native business process outsourcing service.
HUMAIN will supply the AI infrastructure, technologies, and agent platform, while EY will contribute business expertise and support development and commercialization. The proposed service combines automation, analytics, intelligent agents, and human expertise. It will build on HUMAIN ONE, the company’s platform for deploying AI across business functions, with the stated aim of connecting entire processes rather than automating individual tasks in isolation.
HUMAIN Chief Executive Tareq Amin, said “AI is redefining what enterprises are capable of, not just how they operate. Together with EY, we are building a new operating model where intelligent agents, automation, and human expertise work as one, enabling organizations to move faster, make better decisions and create entirely new sources of value. With HUMAIN ONE, we are turning AI from a tool into the operating layer of the enterprise, built and deployed at scale from Saudi Arabia to the world.”
The relationship predates the outsourcing announcement. In November 2025, HUMAIN and EY MENA announced plans to integrate EY’s business solutions into HUMAIN ONE, powered by the Arabic large language model ALLAM. That agreement outlined a program to adapt EY tools into AI agents for public and private sector organizations, initially in Saudi Arabia and potentially in other markets.
Several areas identified at the time were directly relevant to finance departments. They included tax and zakat filings, accounting and audit, financial due diligence, and valuation. Risk management and governance were also included, with proposed applications in customer verification and compliance. Human resources and corporate development rounded out the six areas of focus, covering activities from recruitment and skills development to transaction analysis.
Outsourcing Brings Technology and Delivery Together
Business process outsourcing involves hiring an external provider to carry out business functions. These can include accounting, procurement, human resources, and customer support. Companies may use outsourcing to manage costs or obtain expertise and technology they do not have internally. The arrangement concerns how work is delivered, alongside the software used to perform it.
AI agents could play a role in carrying out business tasks, with their responsibilities shaped by the goals, rules, and system access people give them. Clear limits and human review would remain important, especially when actions could affect customers, payments, or sensitive information.
Once the service is operating, its performance will need to be assessed against clear expectations. Measures such as accuracy, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction could help customers evaluate results. Agreed service standards and regular reviews would provide a basis for comparing actual delivery with the promises made during development.
